Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) aims to provide high quality professional development and support that empowers teachers and schools to provide the best possible education for all pupils/students. Continuing Professional Development opportunities are provided for teachers on a nationwide basis and in collaboration with the Education Centre network.
MoneySense for Schools offers a range of stimulating activities, discussion topics, videos, quizzes and interactive exercises – from banking to budgeting, borrowing and running a small business. You’ll find topics and activities that map directly to the curriculum for business studies at all levels, and the resources are ideal for project work with transition year students
Fortune and Venture is a new business studies education portal helping to teach students from a variety of courses (GCSE, AS, A2 and more). It has been designed to be used in conjunction with many of the popular Business Studies curriculums, enhancing learning and providing alternative routes to students for learning various topics. Fortune and Venture does not have a strict course outline but simply offers teachers the flexibility to incorporate our resources into class and project work in a variety of ways.
Shop Smart is a high-speed interactive game in a virtual shopping centre. Test your knowledge of your consumer rights and how to approach everyday shopping situations, from misleading price displays to choosing the best value. The Shop Smart game is primarily tailored for second-level students and is designed to: Raise awareness about your consumer rights; Support certain parts of the Junior and Leaving Certificate curricula; Provide a fun, interactive resource for classroom and home revision in studying consumer issues.
Money Matters is a designed by the  Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (the Commission) Cycle.  Money Matters is a personal financial course for Junior is delighted to offer ‘Money Matters’, a personal finance course for Junior Cycle.

On clicking the link, the user will automatically be granted guest access.  Any user can click the link and review the majority of the content on the site. For teacher access, the individual  teacher can contact the team directly to be registered at financialeducation@ccpc.ie  They will them be set up with a username and password which will allow them to view the Teacher Resource area, which contains additional information on the course, navigating the site and the Junior Cycle.

Consumer Classroom, an on-line Consumer Education Tool is a European Commission initiative funded by the Directorate General for Health and Consumer Protection
(DG SANCO), aimed at developing a consumer information and education web-site with interactive tools.
Spirit of Enterprise is a resource to assist teachers and students in the critical task in developing enterprise and business skills.
EBEA – The Economics & Business Education Association represents teachers and lecturers of business studies and related subjects in schools and colleges throughout the UK.
NCCA – The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment advises the Minister for Education and Science on curriculum and assessment for early childhood education and for primary and post-primary schools.
Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT) is a dedicated continuing professional development (CPD) support service of the Department of Education and Skills which aims to support schools in their implementation of the new Junior Cycle Framework, through the provision of appropriate high quality continuing professional development for school leaders and teachers, and the provision of effective teaching and learning resources.
scoilnet.ie – Scoilnet is the Department of Education and Skills official portal for Irish education. It is responsible for the promotion and use of the Internet in education under the Government’s ICT in Schools Programme.  Teachers can source and share resources for teaching the business suite of subjects.
teachnet.ie – TeachNet’s online courses bring together the expertise of St. Patrick’s College and the practical approach of our course authors who believe in “By teachers, for teachers”.  All courses utilise the latest e-learning technology including video tutorials and podcasts, to enhance interaction and make the courses more appealing and meaningful for participants.
